Creative Catering - Design & Development

Exceptional catering and events provider, The Creative Catering Company, approached DotLabel for a full site revamp. The key aim of the website was to reflect their luxurious brand and highlight their remarkable event hosting skills.

Developed on DotLabel’s own Content Management System using Symfony 2, an open-source PHP development framework, the site was transformed into a beautifully contemporary space in order for the client’s work to really shine through. Enhanced by stunning, crisp photography, the new website provides a much smoother user experience and is fully responsive across different devices; ensuring customers can easily access the site on-the-go.

Technical Lead (Basingstoke)

Job Description

DotLabel is an award-winning Creative Digital Agency with a team of superhuman developers, with our combined powers we have attracted some of the most recognisable UK & Global brands, including Barclays, The Balvenie, SDL, Glenfiddich, BAE Systems and Rackspace.

We’re seeking a very special superhero to lead our development teams. We currently develop upon PHP/Symfony2/Doctrine but we’re always open to fresh ideas and new/alternative approaches; while the blur between client and server side means we also love our JavaScript development and hit the usual toolchain of HTML5/Bower/Grunt/AngularJS/Socket.io/Cordova with some Node and Express thrown in for good measure.

Day to day the role is hands on, whilst leading both the front and backend development teams, with a strong focus on the backend team. Super human technical expertise will be called upon at any moment by the account and project teams to help assist with their enquires. The role is client facing, so regular interactions with big brands will play a key part too.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Create and execute development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Keep project manager(s) well informed of status of development effort and serve as liaison between development staff and project manager
  • Ensure both technical and front-end teams are contributing to our code library and that the teams reuse code from the library where necessary
  • Own the development lifecycle and be responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project
  • Communicate and enforce coding standards
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
  • Manage technical resources within budget and project schedule
  • Consistently deliver high-quality services to our clients
  • Create extend-able, scalable and maintainable code
  • Understand the benefits of the various programming languages

We are looking for an experienced Digital Account Manager to join an innovative and technical design agency. The ideal candidate will play a very active part in managing existing business and bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.

You must have experience in delivering website build and design projects and running digital campaigns across various media. You should be able to demonstrate a passion for excellent client servicing and well-organised project management.
